So, my children interact amazingly awesome at times (and amazingly with too much screaming and grabbing at others). Below is the dialogue of a recent conversation:
Jeremiah: Lilly, do you want a cookie?
Lilly: Yes.
J: Okay, mommy will get you one. (runs off to wash his face like asked)
Two minutes later:
Mom: Jeremiah get out of the bathroom and get Lilly a cookie please!
Jeremiah: (runs out and stops right before the kitchen) Can I take a bite of it?
Mom: No.
J: Oh, okay. (hands Lilly the cookie and asks) Lilly, can I have a bite of your cookie?
L: No. (looks at mom to see if this is an okay answer)
J: Okay. (runs off and plays)
30 seconds later: Lilly’s mouth is stuffed with cookie.
J: Lilly, do you want another cookie? (Lilly’s eyes move to mommy to see if he’s pulling her leg, but still has a mouth full of cookie and can't respond)
J: Lilly, do you want another cookie? (Again Lilly looks at mom)
J: Yes, please or No, thank you?
L: (One last look at mom) Yes.
J. Say please.
L: please.
J: (runs into the kitchen and brings out the empty bag) Sorry Lilly they’re all gone, see, just crumbs.
Oh yes, and Jeremiah tells Isaiah to "Stop it off" when Isaiah screams. ("Knock it off")
We are home, post is quite late!

That is SO cute! How excited we are to reach that point with our children. Although right now I'm enjoying him not talking back. :)
