You know those really frustrating times when things are not going as they should (especially when dealing with another person), yet you know exactly what was going through their mind and it makes sense because you would do it too? Yup, I’m in one of those situations right now.
I took Jeremiah to Bible Explorers, early. Thus, Travis needed the house keys to get bus keys for an impromptu youth trip to the dollar store to fill Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes (at least, that’s what I’m assuming). However, my wonderful husband knows that I locked the door because Isaiah is sleeping and it worries me, even if I’m coming right back. So, he locked the door…and then left in the bus…with my keys…and his cell phone still on the podium so he could check the time. The result of business.
So here we are, Lilly and me in the youth room awaiting their return. Don’t worry mom, Isaiah is fine—he’s safe in his playpen and it’s pouring outside, nothing is running and only two lights are on and they’ll be back most likely before he even wakes up! Just frustrating, yet completely understandable! Argh, if only there was no reason and I could be completely mad!!
On to cheerier things…My son Jeremiah is a budding perfectionist. We were playing Hi-ho Cherrio today and he won…He spun a 4 when he only had 1 cherry left, so he moved the spinner around until it was on the 1.
Isaiah crawled three leg/arm combinations a couple days ago. He actually kinda hopped his legs forward together, it was adorable!
A couple days ago Lilly handed me my key-fob and told me, "That’s not my job, that’s mommy’s job." She’s learning? It’s really quite fun to ask her questions and try to hear her little answers. I told her today that she was a Little Miss Chatterbox, to which she replied, "No, I a Lee-lee." So I told her she was a Little Miss Chatterbox Lilly, she had no complaints. : )
Isaiah was still sound asleep when I got home, fyi. : ) And I think I can probably get a back massage out of that! : )
P.S. Thank you Great Grandma Christine for the super cute Thanksgiving bib for Isaiah!
We are home, post is quite late!
