Heat, Deals and Nothing Important

So, here it is, my first VBS in which I have a child participating. Yesterday they told Lilly she could go as well, however they ended up with about 18 3-5 year olds and thus today 3 yr. olds are allowed in the nursery. (Since their birthdays are so close Jeremiah is considered 4, and Lilly 3) Isaiah and I had a fabulous time at Target yesterday, he’s a happy shopping baby apparently, something that doesn’t always come out when mommy is constantly keeping the older two in check!
Air conditioning is pretty much a must in some form or another down here (up here) in Salem. We pulled our small, old window a/c unit out of the closet, even though we couldn’t remember if it was still working! Thankfully it does work and our bedroom is now like walking onto our Honeymoon cruise ship. However, we remembered why we thought it didn’t work: it spits and sputters water droplets (not a whole lot, just enough to make you wonder if you’re getting sprayed with water or something else). We also purchased an old unit from someone on Craig’s List. Unfortunantly we measured our window and forgot to measure the unit! It’s about 2 inches too big for any of the windows in our house. So we have a very ugly arrangement outside and an equally ugly one on the inside to jury rig it into place. That’s okay! We can now stay in the house—I was thinking about seeing if the Gilbert House has a/c and buying a membership, we’d only have to spend from 10am-1pm and 4pm-9pm there every day! I’m not sure how hot it got today, somewhere around 99-103 degrees?
We went to the coast today. I don’t know why I even try to get really good deals at the outlets, they’re practically the same as the regular stores! Claire’s had buy one get one 50% off—great deal, eh? Children’s Place, where I have on occasion found awesome deals had some that were okay, good if you really needed something. However, the pants for Lilly that I found weren’t an extra 50% off, so that left them at $7.99. I don’t know, maybe I’m too cheap, but $8 for a pair of 4T pants just seems like it’s still not a good deal—even if they were $20 or whatever to start with!
Isaiah has part of 4 molars through and white for other teeth! Plus, I think he’s going through a growth spurt—about time!! I can’t wait to be done with summer and have this baby! Yet, I’m very thankfully that I’m not nursing an infant through this heat, that would be awful!
Alright, I think I’ve typed your ear off enough, that’s it for now. It’s time to put the fussbudget to bed.

I'm glad you're doing well and that you were able to get some AC set up. Our AC unit has been a lifesaver this week as the temps are crazy high along with the humidity. So nice that you're able to have some time with just Isaiah. :) Can't wait to see you guys again next month! Oh and Daniel is taking steps. His record so far is 4 in a row, but I think he can do more.
