Costco

My kids LOVE Costco, especially on what they call "Sample Day." However, they often fight over who gets to hold the receipt at the end...we've started doing a "guess my number" way of choosing. Jeremiah won today and Lilly pouted for about 10 seconds. While they normally forget to say please and thank you to the person checking this time he didn't! Jeremiah very politely handed the lady the receipt and asked "May I have a check mark please?" When questioned that that really was what he wanted, he said, "Yes, a check mark please." The lady gave me a raised eyebrow, 'wow' sort of look and gave him a check mark. He then with a smile said, "Thank you." She turned and told me, "You're doing a good job momma, keep it up." (amazingly enough Isaiah and Addie weren't bugging each other in the cart and Lilly was sitting quietly too!) Whew...keep plugging along, they're getting something! Whoowho!

Oh, yes, and then I told Jeremiah that he 'impressed the ladie's socks off,' he thought that was hilarious and has since tried to 'impress people's socks off.'
