Last night I was melonchy, bummed, hormonal, irritable, you get the picture. Not how I wanted to be for the evening before 'Daddy Stay Home Day,' which is the best day of the week! Thankfully I woke up in a pleasant enough mood to allow Travis to sleep in ('til 9 o'clock!), make coffe, empty the dishwasher, load it back up with the backlog in the sink, make a batch of granola for breakfast and pick up the family room. A good start. We also found out we have a small Walnut tree on our property as well as neighbors who don't want massive quanities of produce. Therefore we got to pick 42 pounds of green grapes, which I am currently juicing, 3 pounds of hazelnuts (which happen to be my FAVORITE nut) and a dozen little apples and asian pears! Awesomeness. And as if that wasn't a wonderful day in itself Travis went and picked up chickens and allowed me to read my book at Starbucks. It's amazing how refreshing an hour and a half sitting, reading my book and drinking a coffee is. (Last week I got to go to a 'girls night' and I felt more drained than refreshed, I'm such an introvert!) Whew. I'll have to post names and pictures of our new 'pets' later!
