Lilly and the Grapes

So yesterday Travis went and dug up a huge grape vine, a small apple tree and some lillies, thank you Craigslist free section! He planted the grapes where the blackberries are currently. It's probably not the best time to transplant right now, seeing as the vine is covered in bunches of seedless grapes...they turn purple, but start out green. They' quite delicious. Well, anyway Jeremiah picked some this morning to put in our oatmeal. Later Lilly asked if she could go eat some grapes, to which I told her 'no.' I don't want her eating them all day, because she would! About ten minutes of playing outside I go to check on them and find Jeremiah and Lilly over by the grapes. I holler across the yard, "Lilly, Jeremiah, I told you no grapes, come here!" And lo and behold they came running and while they ran Lilly said, "We didn't eat the grapes, we were eating the blackberries (which they're allowed to just go eat)." I was so proud of her, she obeyed and listened! Just one of those moments where you go, aahh, that's what you're supposed to do ALL the time. See, isn't it much better? : )
